Yesterday the 5th the Provincial Government

of Kwong Tung issued a notification, which reads

as follows:

Temporary regulations have been made for the

prevention of dispute between labour and capital in

the province of Kwong Tung, and are now published

below.

This notification.

A. Regulations for merchant s: -

(1) Same as proposed regulation (1)

(2) when any factory or firm is closed (for any

reason), the workmen shall be given 1 month's

notice and one month's extra wages. If it is

closed without notice and arbitrarily, 2 months'

extra pay shall be paid.
